THX ® Trivia
The origin of the acronym 'THX' is controversial. The most likely explanations? Either named after the senior sound engineer Tomlinson Holman experience or Lucas' first film 'THX 1138'.
George Lucas started the THX "project" because complaints about the "Star Wars" cinema sound quality were brought to his attention.
Teufel offers the largest range of THX certified speakers in Europe.
THX Select, THX Select 2, and THX Ultra 2 are certifications for different sized home cinema systems. THX multimedia is used mainly for PC speakers.
