Connecting the Motiv 2 to the computer
The Motiv 2 easily connects to every computer through the sound card; it doesn't matter if you've got a Mac or a PC, desktop or a notebook. The connection is handled through a 3.5 stereo minijack connection at the rear of the subwoofer straight to the audio output of the computer, which is normally also designed as a 3.5 mm stereo minijack connection. The two satellite speakers are connected via normal speaker cables to the subwoofer.

Three inputs for additional devices
The Motiv 2 connects three further playback sources of any type: PC, MP3 player, satellite receiver, TV, CD player, DJ mixer - everything works. Easily switch from one device with the remote control and enjoy your fabulous music over this intensely satisfying speaker set.

Remote control service
The remote control allows you to switch between your signal devices, up the volume or mute the entire system at the push of a button.

Standard headphone connection
If not everyone wants to enjoy your powerful sound, you can easily connect the Motiv 2 A 200/3 subwoofer to your headphones. So long as the plug's in, the satellites and subwoofer are switched off and the headset transfers complete stereo sound into your ears alone.

Your detail solution
The satellite speakers have solid screw terminals, where you connect cables up to a maximum of 2,5 qmm. For shorter in house distances cable up to 1.5 qmm will suffice.

Setup of the Motiv 2 as a PC system
It's always wise to concentrate on the sitting area that will be used in connection with the system when setting it up - so, in the PC's case, the area between the screen and the hands. The best positioning of the satellites is to the left and right of the scree; if possible an equal distance from your seat. The supplied gum feet allow a light but firm connection to the desk, which also allows an optimum tweeter sound. The subwoofer can be placed freely in your desk area and doesn't affect the other speakers - an ideal placement would be between the two satellites.

Setup of the Motiv 2 as a living room system

The Motiv 2 can also be used for music playback within your room as long as the square meters of the space don't exceed 30 m: the closer you sit the more intense the sound.

Adapter, wall mounts and accessories
The Motiv 2 is delivered without connection cables, due to differing customer needs. A basic cable set that works well with the Motiv 2 is the AC 1512 WS.

Stereo cables are used to connect the subwoofer to the signal source (such as an MP3 player, PC, video recorder) and the speaker cables connect the satellites to the subwoofer. If you need further speaker cables, (length and/or a more optimal sound quality) we recommend ordering 2 x 2.5 qmm Teufel speaker cables.

Wall mounts and stands

Satellite Speaker MO 2 F

The satellites of the Motiv 2 come from the same basic idea as the subwoofer: The finest design meets uncompromising sound. The elaborate chassis equipment with a 25mm fabric dome, paired with a long-stroke 100mm Neodym mid bass made of coated cellulose guarantees unlimited hi-fi music playback.

We consider the MO 2 F to be one of the best-sounding micro satellite speakers on the market – and even more so in combination with the optimally matched fully active subwoofer A 200/3 SW.

2.1 Subwoofer A 200/3 SW

The attractive appearance of this new subwoofer A 200/3 SW from Motiv 2 will appeal to anyone who appreciates beautifully rounded shapes, but its aesthetic aspects are superseded in favour of the impressive bases. A 250mm woofer with new white ZDC concave membrane and perfectly balanced bass reflex balance delivers astonishingly full bass-sounds from the compact, square casing.

The integrated 3-channel amplifier reserves 100 watt RMS for the bass alone, while both stereo satellites can still be controlled with the ample 30 watt RMS per channel. The set can even temporarily generate up to 250 watts of music power performance. Enough to supply an entire living room of up to 30m2 with superb stereo-sound dynamics.
