Two floor-standing speakers with integrated active subwoofersEach floor-standing speaker contains a 250 mm active subwoofer with an integrated 150 watt amplifier. This guarantees an extraordinarily deep 38 Hz low end (-3 dB) for bass that you can feel as well as hear - and all without an additional stand-alone subwoofer.
Our Theater 6 Hybrid surround set using these two speakers has already received many commendations.
True-to-source music reproduction thanks to clever details1. The ADG (Adjusted Group Delay) technology enables a time corrected sound image with optimized group delay for a linear frequency response. The recessed tweeter makes it possible for high and midrange frequencies to arrive at the ear at the same time. In also increases the differentiation between frequencies in the lower range. The result is the ability to project nstruments into the room with a high degree of accuracy. The same principle is used in our stereo speakers the T 500 Mk2 (Stereoplay award winner 12/2012).
2 The wave guide in the tweeter ensures a broad dispersion as well as crystal clear and simultaneous playback at different listening positions.
3. Both 130 mm midrange drivers are arranged especially close to the tweeter which comes close to an ideal point source. This guarantees a clean stereo panorama and precise localization of voices and instruments. An additional nice feature is that the grilles are held in place with magnets. This makes them easy to remove them for those who enjoy looking at drivers in action.
4. The use of two large midrange driver gives musical instruments an especially warm tone. This makes the T 6 Hybrid a wonderful speaker for enjoying classical music which it reproduces with a subtlety unlike any other loudspeaker pair in their price class.
5. The T 6 Hybrid has a sealed enclosure, a design that increases the precision of the lowest frequencies and enables placement of the speakers next to walls without compromising acoustics. Our high-end stereo speaker model, the Definion 5, uses the same principle. The T 6 Hybrid also employs extremely high-excursion, digitally controlled woofers in order to compensate for the missing bass reflex system. The advantage is an utter absence of wind noise and less distortion along with the greatest possible load capacity.
Individually adjustable, customizableThe T 6 Hybrid sounds the way you want it to: From bassy to extremely balanced thanks to subwoofer levels that can be easily regulated on the back of the loudspeakers. A high pass filter can even remove very low frequencies if needed such as to eliminate droning in rooms that encourage the production of standing waves.
The automatic on and off switch on the subwoofer is practical and saves electricity. It can, however, also be deactivated if so desired.
For stereo amplifiers or A/V recieversThe T 6 Hybrid works with all standard amplifiers (via high level loudspeaker cable) and A/V receivers (via high level loudspeaker cable and subwoofer cable) that have a minimum amplification capacity of 30 watts per channel. Various settings are at one’s disposal with either connection option.
ExpandableThe Theater 6 Hybrid 2.1 -> 5.1 extension set gives you the option of expanding the T 6 Hybrid into a full-fledged surround sound set.
Test the set for up to 8 weeks at home without obligation.

Read"Within a comparatively slender and sleekly designed enclosure characterized by the clean workmanship tpyical of its price class, each speaker contains two 130 mm midrange drivers with membranes made from coated carbon fibers in a d’Appolilto arrangement and a fabric dome tweeter with a waveguide that is recessed in order to correct differences in propagation times.”
"The Teufel set quickly showed its first strength: Very good 3-dimensionality [...] with clear, differentiated positioning of the sound sources."
"The Teufel set quickly showed its first strength: Very good 3-dimensionality [...] with clear, differentiated positioning of the sound sources. [...]. Bass and snare, on the other hand, came from the middle and the cymbals crashed from the left and then right in the room. The Teufel set plays with dynamic agility [...]. At no time does [...] the bass seem clustered or unpleasantly conspicuous. It instead sounds like it is seamlessly connected to the whole with pleasant dynamics and real punch.“
"[T]he Teufels prove themselves to be real work horses with stable levels that really go to it and which score points for an expansive bass and cleanly differentiated tonal segmentation.”
"Speaking of tone: What can one expect in this regard from the ‚Teufels‘? Well, an overall and in a positive sense, dry and essentially neutral sound. In the subwoofer’s flat setting, the T6 Hybrid has a contured bass at its disposal that reaches real depths and which seamlessly attaches itself to the midrange. In the upper range, they show themelves to be tireless, everything other than intrusive and yet with a clean and differentiated reproduction.”
"In the flat setting, the Teufel subwoofer reminds me of my – in this respect, very neutral - everyday speakers in their bass power. This supports the idea tha tthe T6 Hybrid or H600 F, were not primarily intended to be "fun speakers“ with striking playback. However, when one turns the subwoofer up a little, it’s possible to [...] transforms the Teufel T6 Hybrid into "party speakers“ at any time. It’s pretty impressive to observe how undistorted and with what level stability yet how clearly they than play.”
"Teufel shows how it’s done: For a more than moderate price of 1,200 Euro, they are able to create absolutely “mature” or “big” (level stability bass authority, broad dynamics) sounding floorstanding speakers that, in addition, make some significantly more expensive speakers of this type seem old. In terms of the concept, the mistake of pushing the “fun factor” to the fore with an emphasis on bass was avoided. The Teufel speakers are much more neutral; yet this can be changed as needed or according to personal perference with a small turn of the regulator. And even when they have more air to push in the lower end, the Teufel T 6 Hybrids remain amazingly stable in their levels and undistorted.”

Read "We not only […] appreciated the clean articulation of dynamic contrasts, but the faultless dimensionality. […] Piano and bass are also expressed in a quality that one would not necessarily expect. In parts, even the note velocity of a pressed key is expressed. [...] They are definitely suitable for listeners with certain expectations who at the same time want to make a reasonable investment.”
"The entire sound envelopes the listener, transfixes him and engages him."
"Get a lot for little money – this principle is consequently followed by the T 6 Hybrid. [...] Balanced, with great fullness and a bass that is always present without pushing itself into the foreground, both T 6's secured a overall result even here that was worth hearing. [...] The entire sound envelopes the listener, transfixes him and engages him. [...] Both of the active subwoofers in the lower part oft he speakers display an excellent bass and an enormous liveliness in the low range.”
"Teufel’s partially active transducers aspire to the highest class, even as a stereo loudspeaker pair. [...] Visually unmistakable, [...] they offer excellent acoustic properities: Powerful bass with exceptional depth, a cleanly structured midrange with well articulated vocal characteristics, amazingly free as well as broadly dispersed treble range – for just 600 Euro per speaker, this is an unbeatable total package. Where else can one find such a good and inexpensive speaker?”

ReadBoth loudspeakers contain a side-mounted, active […] subwoofer driven by a 150 watt digital amplifier. […]
"A balanced tone, detailed sound image,[powerful and deep] bass."
The T6 Hybrid uses a sealed enclosure resplendent with first-class workmanship and a very elegant white look.
[There] are two ways of controlling the bass: Either a conventional loudspeaker cable delivers the required feed from which signal the DSP pulls forth the deep bass parts and the bass amplifier is put on hold, or one uses the separate sub input […]. Levels and the low end can be easily set by means of a potentiometer on the connection terminal. [...]
[T]he T6 Hybrid [produces] a harmonious sound. With the right set up, the sound image is convincingly realistic: [...] Especially with [...] top quality music productions, the neutral tuning of the Teufel’s set’s mid-to-high range asserts itself [...]. Thanks to the support of double subwoofer, the bass sounded remarkably rich and [...] not at all sluggish or lacking in definition. [...] The stereo-affine AUDIO testers were of course not insensible to the A/V tuning, but rather approved of it: More rockin‘ tunes with a focus on bass are a lot of fun with the Teufel system.
The Teufel set had a […] striking sound and offers a good solution for beginners.
